January 3 is unofficially considered National Chocolate-Covered Cherry Day in the United States.

Cella's brand of cherry cordial confection

Chocolate covered cherries are a traditional dessert confection. Variations include cherry cordial candy with liquid fillings often including cherry liqueur, as well as chocolate covered candied cherries and chocolate covered dried cherries.

Manufacturers of chocolate covered cherries include Marich Confectionery and Cella's. Chocolate covered cherries feature in the story-line of the South Park episode Simpsons Already Did It. Cherry cordial candy are also popular. Chukar Cherries in central Washington state dries 250,000 pounds of cherries and creates a much richer taste.

Tom Faglon released a recipe for dark chocolate bark where he added pomegranate seeds on the surface of dark chocolate. The taste has been described by Melissa Clark of the New York Times as sophisticated.

Január elseje van, itt az ideje, hogy gondosan megtervezd az előtted álló évet. Nyelvtanulás szempontjából is.

Először is nézd meg, milyen határidőkre mit kell teljesítened. Ha mondjuk a tanév végéig szerezned kell egy középfokú nyelvvizsgát, mert ez a feltétele a záróvizsgára bocsátásnak, akkor most ne legyints azzal, hogy "Hol van az még!". Hamarabb a nyakadon lesz, mint most gondolnád. Atya ég! Hány ilyen emberrel találkoztam már! Miért ne lehetnél te az az okos,aki a más kárán tanul?

Nézd meg alaposan a választható és az iskolád által elfogadott nyelvvizsgákat. Ismerd meg, melyik számodra a legkönnyebb. Nézd meg a vizsgaidőpontokat. Figyelj a jelentkezési határidőkre. Számíts rá, hogy sikeres nyelvvizsga esetén is lehet néhány hét, amíg bizonyítványt kapsz. Tájékozódj!

Aztán a vizsgáig hátralévő időt oszd be apró lépésekre. Készíts magadnak minden hónapra egy nyelvtanulási naptárt. Ilyen egyszerűre gondoltam, mint ez:

Napról napra tervezd meg, mit fogsz tenni a célod elérése érdekében. De kérlek, ne csak olyanokat tervezz, hogy "Megoldok egy nyelvtani tesztet" vagy "Megcsinálok egy fordítást". Heti egy-két alkalommal legyen a terveid között olyan dolog is, amit élvezel. Mondjuk megnézheted a kedvenc filmedet angolul. Vagy meghallgatsz egy számot úgy, hogy figyelsz a felbukkanó nyelvtani szerkezetekre is.

Minden elvégzett feladat mellé tegyél egy nagy pipát, és jutalmazd is meg magad. Mert megérdemled. :)
